We are committed to ensuring Austin invests deliberately, urgently, generously and equitably in green space and green infrastructure.
Our Principles
1. Climate Change is real and getting worse, and Austin is especially susceptible to drought, excessive heat, flooding, and urban wildfires.

2. Austinites want a green city and will support green initiatives with their vote.

3. Austinites deserve dedicated city leadship to plan for explosive growth and climate change with an explicit green mandate.
4. Equity is a foundational value in addressing climate change that disproportionately impacts historical neglected communities.

5. Integrate gray infrastructure with green infrastructure throughout the city, especially in the right-of-way.

6. Ecological health is essential to economic prosperity.
​
7. Trees are essential to our well-being and must be planted in all our public spaces.
​
8. Increased density requires increased investment in green and modification of city culture, rules and regulations to include green investment.

9. All city departments should be part of the green mission.
10. Ensure that all city departments advancing green space and green infrastructure enjoy strong support at City Hall and have a generous permanent acquisition fund.

11. Incentivize developers by eliminating needless barriers to private green sector contributions.
​
12. Ensure green values and solutions receive equal consideration during utility planning and the permitting process to create a balance between green and gray infrastructure.
